The bloke oin the first picture of the second lot is saing:
"Did you know that when they brought out the Mk 3, due to a war time shortage of materials, they had to reverse the toggle link pivot and make it out of brass, absolutely ruined the marque's hitherto all round excellence at that point in time"
"Not a lot of people know that, you know"
I heard him!

The bloke scratching his forehead in the last one of the first lot was heard to groan" Oh no! Strewth! and I thought that I had the only one left! _________________ regards, David. |

Thanks for that Buddy
Looking at the woodland on the top of the hill, plus the trees on the right on the hill top I'd say you hit the nail on the head.
there is a phot that looks like it was taken just outside the main gate on the ANZAC site |

Was out and about with my sister and brother-in-law and spotted the following examples - all of which were being offered for sale.
A magnificent old JAP.
A really nice looking Ariel.
Then just as we were about to leave spotted this original looking WM20.

My first motorcycle was a James 125cc ML model which I had when I was 14 and could only ride it our garden. The problem was our garden was miniscule.
I was delighted to see one at the NEC Classic Car Show last month.
This is the only one that I have seen since selling mine back in 1956. _________________ Keep Torqueing,

I can only think of Henderson. It looks like a four cylinder of the period and perhaps the X that should be on the winged tank logo doesn't show on the photo? _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special.
