Hi,
Yes, another Marina owner down in Worcestershire too. Current examples are Suntor Camper (needs painting but pretty much on the road), a pickup that needs welding and recomissioning, and a pretty shabby estate that common sense says is a spares car, but heart says needs restoring....

Not sure yet if its a spares car tbh. The tailgates better than the rest of it but its not saying too much!

I am getting an estate for breaking in the next couple of weeks. The tailgate is ok and the interior is immaculate. It also has a 1700 recon unleaded engine which is surplus to requirements. Cool Cool Cool

On the subject of marinas, got to know about a saloon one in very good (almost excellent) condition by a panel beater friend, he said that it got scrapped in the scrappage scheme offered by the government!!
He said it was proper mint, and this was confirmed by my uncle last saturday who heard about it from someone else who was visiting this scrapyard where all these cars are being taken to be dismantled or cubed!!

And some very good cars are being scrapped in this stupid scheme, mostly 15-20 year old cars, the value of which is not much for resale but some perfectly good cars are being destroyed in the meantime, which makes no sense to me.

Sad

There's a Marina Estate on eBay now - 2 days to go - looks like quite a collection of useful bits:

Hi Larry,

Just wondered, is there any photos of your Marina on this forum?

The last rear wheel drive Marina here in Elsinore (in Denmark the earlier 11/1300 FWD,s were also badged as Marina) was a White RWD, and a 4 door saloon.

It had its original Black enemald plates, and was driven by an elderly couppel, but I havent seen it for some years now Sad probably long gone now.

There is one FWD Marina left too (I think?) havent seen it for a couple of years, but the owner should still be with us Cool
his a former BMC/BL dealer/garage owner, very nice guy.
