Riley RM Club and Manchester Standard Triumph Group are on a combined run from Sainsbury's Heaton Park to Turton Tower via our monthly noggin venue The Pack Horse, Elbut Lane, Heywood.
All welcome - let me know if you require a meal at The Pack Horse. |

I'm planning to do the North Norfolk Classic Vehicle Club's "StGeorges Day" run from Sheringham to Hoveton Hall on 21st April. The event is in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance and is timed to coincide with Drive It day. It is very much open to anyone with a classic car so if anyone in the area fancies getting involved I'm sure you would be most welcome. More info here : http://www.nncvc.org.uk/NNCVC/Welcome.html
Give either Roy Beckley or Graham Gibbins (number on web link) a call if you want to join in. _________________ One thorn of experience is worth a whole wilderness of warning |

Our club has a run out to the Llangollen area to take in a few places, also coincides with the steam gala there. Not sure if I'm going yet. |

mmmmm....decisions, decisions......joys of living on the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire
Rochdale vintage and collectors car club are having a run to Runcorn (leaving Rochdale town hall at 10am)
but the Alvis owners club are at the piece hall in Halifax......
I'm thinking of going to Rochdale in the Alvis to wave them off and then a trip to Halifax may be in order _________________ "people with money buy a Rolls Royce, people with taste buy an Alvis". |

We've half a dozen Riley Motor Club activities planned around the country, the one I'll be on is a 'Circuit of the Peaks' tour of the northern Peak District leaving The Gate, Cutthorpe (our usual meeting pub) at 10am with lunch at The Plough, Hathersage (the current Derbyshire Dining Pub of the Year ). If anyone would like to join us let me know so I can book them in for lunch. |

We have about 10 Morris 8's and old Morris Minors from the Morris Register going round The Elgar Route (Starting at the Elgar Museum at 11.00) which is around Worcestershire, Malvern Hills, etc.
Weather looks OK ish at the moment. Lets hope it holds.
Have a good one! |

Saw a few oldies go by, and some VWs, otherwise haven't seen much out and about today.
As mentioned, early on we were out in the Volvo.
Then a little later it was the tourer's turn, although it's not running well so that was a brief drive around the lanes and back. More investigation into its poor running required.
This afternoon we took the Rover into town and for a drive around. Didn't see any other old cars.

Just home from Drive It Day, a 60 mile tour of the Peak District. Saw several classics on the road, GT40, Lotus Seven, A105, Jaguar Mk2 x 2, Austin Seven was behind us at the pumps at Tesco, and when we pulled in for a pub lunch the car park had about a dozen assorted Jaguars and Triumphs.
We stopped to re-group at one point and an old boy driving past stopped, hopped out of his car and started taking lots of photos. It turns out he used to work at the Riley factory in the 1930s.
A great day out; the rain held off and I'm home in time for the GP too!
