An elderly owner of this car decided to part with her.

Being local to me I decided to take a look.

I just cannot resist original 1950`s vehicles.

He had owned the car from 1962.

The mileage now is 46,000.

The original 803cc engine was replaced in 1972 with a larger 948cc engine.
More reliable and easier to get parts.

The gentleman showed me all the MOT certificates from 1961.
Tax discs.
Service invoices.
Original sales invoice from 1962.

I just had to have her, look after the car and hopefully it will be around for many years to come.

Photo`s to follow.

Lucky bugger!
I have a friend of mine, who is a heating oil delivery driver, keeping a beady eye out for little jewels. He is always picking bargain cars up, mainly newer stuff. just before Christmas he bought 2 series landrovers for £5! bit over priced I know, but they were both solid and needed rehoming.

Looks great, plus when you buy from a long-term owner they can often relay so much of the car's history.

As can be seen the drivers seat has seen better day`s.

I would like to replace it with a good secondhand one.

if anyone out there has a seat they would like to sell please contact me.
