Hi there,

I am working on behalf of Predictable Media for an exciting new TV programme for a major broadcaster.

We are currently looking to chat to folks who have built/restored interesting and vintage vehicles from items found on Ebay.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a vintage cars, but if you do use eBay as a primary source for car parts please get in touch to discuss the possibility of being featured.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Sounds interesting, I'll delete the other two posts as they duplicate this one basically.

I wouldn't say I use eBay as a primary source of parts, but it has definitely had its uses over the years.

Yes it's been a great help to me but nearly always more expensive too for hard to find items, however for nuts n bolts consumables type stuff you can't beat it Cool

I've bought cars via ebay over the years. One was a dead loss, one was OK the rest pretty much reasonable. Travelling a long way to look at a car you've already agreed to buy (or in some cases already paid for) is a peculiar and sometimes worrying thing.

I am always on the look out for badly listed spares on Ebay for my Rover, and I bought all the repair panels for my Mk1 Escort on there. I'd be lost without it.

Restoring the Dodge would have been much more difficult without it. I found a steering wheel in Australia (well, it found me actually), plus many smaller parts were sourced, primarily in the USA, and I still buy oil filters and such like whenever I see them listed over there.

A seller in the US has one, maybe two, NOS front wings for the truck too, wish he'd come good on calculating a price to ship them though Confused

Sounds like a good excuse for an American holiday Rick?

I fear the hand luggage charges might pile up a bit though Smile

i often advertise and sell rare and unusual panels that cannot be bought from the usual places. all the things that i sell are hand made then rolled on a English wheel to finish off.

I have sold obscure parts all over the world in the last ten years.

If it is a genuine part it will nearly always sell.

My most memorable was a carb for a 1940s/50s tractor to a chap in the middle of the Australian bush. Only sold for a couple of quid, but he was very happy as it meant he could use the machine again.

Nice when the internet works to help someone out.
