Hi all,
Does anyone have and experience or reccomendations about hood recolouring? I have a car with a mohair or duck (not sure which) hood which is brown and it now looks odd as the car is now black, so I need to recolour the hood if possible. The hood will be replaced in due course when a suitablle trimmer is found (any suggestions? - still looking...) but a recolour to get it on the road this season would be handy.

i've just done the hood on my Morris, it was black duck canvas but had faded to a very light grey in places, especially where the frames pass under.

i used Renovo soft top reviver https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01_0a1tQY9k

i'm not sure it would change the colour of a hood from one to another but its certainly made mine look black and new again.

its a dye but also seems to be sort of a plastic like coating. if it drips and dries on paint its a real pain to get off.

Thanks for that, I'll give 'em a go. (Got the old tan hood off my Minor so will try a bit on that first!) I'm working on the idea that a dark brown hood is nearer to black than a very faded black hood. Fingers crossed Smile
