This may not be to everyones taste, involving what are generally accepted as "Kit" cars, but many Gentrys are now well past the generally accepted 25 year "classic" age. Having been introduced by R.M.Blockley in 1974. And even more recent "builds" often have the mechanicals and running gear of Triumphs from pre-1989.
The Anniversary run will start from Exeter later this week and will proceed via a rather devious route to include other car events and visits to terminate at John O'Groats.
Details may be found here. http://thegentryregister.myfreeforum.org/ftopic898-0.php
Although I am not participating on the run I intend visiting Crich Tramway museum on Saturday 21st June at 1.00pm where they expect to stop for lunch and a visit.
Of course, the car on the left is my Gentry. On the road without a break since 1984 having amassed well over 100,000 miles since it was resurrected from a Triumph Vitesse MkII. Much of it towing caravans (over 2,500 miles with caravan in the last two years).
