Bit of 'outside the box' thinking for you chaps.
As well as the Singer (you may have heard me harping on about it Very Happy), I have a Wolseley 6/110, registered 1968, dry stored since the early 80's. Lovely chrome, running gear (under 60k miles) and interior. The body work is however in need of a huge amount of work and beyond my skills I fear.
I have seen a few nice, sound, exported lhd examples for sale at reasonable money.
Soooooooooo...am I being daft in considering buying a nice, solid lhd car and breaking my rhd car for the conversion parts? (the one I have doesnt owe me a single £1 which is a great start)

Doesn't sound too daft at all, ideally you'd strip the RHD car down with the LHD one parked alongside it, swapping bits over one by one (if space allowed).

Maybe driving a LHD one wouldn't be too bad anyway...?

I converted my MGA from a left hooker to rhd, it was a case of just swapping bits over, other vehicles 911's for example are more complicated as there are chassis differences.

I have converted a Hillman Imp from RHD to LHD and it was surprisingly simple. Most work was lengthening the behind the dash wires.

If you need any help buying / finding a good LHD Wolseley let me know (I live in the Netherlands and try to keep track of existing LHD "big Farina's"). Also I will gladly buy the remaining LHD components from you after the conversion.
