On a Lucas C40 dynamo there are 2 spade terminals on the back.
A large one and a smaller.
Can someone confirm for me which is "F" and which "D"
Also;
Presumably the larger one is for a thicker cable?
What size wires should I be using for these connections?

D is the larger.

D = Dynamo (output)
F = Field (coils)
E = Earth (ground)

44/03 or 3mm csa is ok for 25 or 33 amps dependant on the type of insulation..
