Yes, I agree. I would guess these pumps did not appear until sometime in the '70s. I love old petrol pumps but ones of this vintage do not really push my buttons.
I was in the Lake District recently with an old Jag and spotted this very old pump in a garden.
I cannot decide if it had been put there as an ornament or actually dispensed petrol many years ago. The stated price would probably date from the '50s. I am astonished the globe has not fallen victim to the light fingered brigade given the price they can fetch.[img][/img] |
