[Norfolkjohn]

Over the weekend of 7th / 8th June about 20 cars of East European origin toured Norfolk and Suffolk. This was a commercially organised trip going under the banner of SALT 9. The SALT apparently stands for Soviet Auto Luxury Tours - the luxury being the hotel accommodation. The cars visited a variety of museums and attractions often with a cold war association. On the 7th the cars spent the afternoon at the City of Norwich Aviation Museum where the group were parked under a Vulcan bomber ! There was a good selection of Trabants including a couple of jeep versions but also some more unusual cars. I'd never seen a Seza Oks 11113 which is a Russian built mini car a bit like a Fiat 500. The most unusual thing was a Tatra 603 - a Czech built luxury car from the 1960's powered by a rear mounted air-cooled V8
