|
|
I am helping a friend restore a 1928 Triumph Super 7.
The project is nearing completion and we are now starting on the electrics.
The original wiring for the starter involves a button on the dashboard and an unusually long run of starter cable from the battery which is under the passenger seat.
The use of a solenoid would allow a much shorter cable and we see it as a pragmatic departure from originality.
The solenoid we are thinking of is the type that has the rubber button on the end which was common on cars of the '50s and '60s.
Does anyone know if these are available in 6 volt?
Also, does anyone have a dashboard mounted indicator switch that does NOT have an integral warning light that they could sell us? |
