I love the Ford Prefect photos, my 7W has an early Prefect front end. When I bought her so many people even in the Sidevalve club were sure it was a very early Prefect. It isn't, its an early 7W that the owner decided to update in 1946/7 with the Prefect front end. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

Nowadays there is just a sign telling you that you are entering Shropshire which is a few yards behind the Google car and no Croeso Y Cymru sign until you get to the next RH bend.

Aaaah! Rick!!
Just seen the above on farcebuuk!
It shows something one of your other photos has as well....perhaps someone knows about them?
They are, the bulbous headlamp lenses?
Obviously an accessory of the time, were they intended to enhance the headlamp beam? Or were they intended to 'protect' teh headlamp glass from debris, etc?
