Hi All,
We have a 1962 Car Cruiser Carousel fitted with an Electrolux MB16 gas fridge.
Its been great for 9 years or so but early last year it started playing up. The gas would light as usual but no cooling whatever the dial was set to.
After some searching on the internet I removed it and turned it upside down overnight after which it worked again! amazing.
It has now done the same again. I will have a go at turning it upside down again but I'm worried this the beginning of the end.
Do these fridges eventually die? and if so what happens - i.e. do they leak and can they be recharged?
Does anybody have any suggestions of other things I can do to help bring it back up to scratch?
Or can anyone recommend a specialist in the Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire area?
Thanks,
Bruce. |

Don't disturb the coolant its Ammonia// and they can go on forever there main problem is lack of use // the flue gets blocked by spiders webs and the jets are so tiny they block at whim
you can replace the whole rear cooling system and burner with one from a latter fridge or you should be able to fit the old door to a newer model
