No Redex collection, just plenty pictures of random bits and pieces.

These pictures are from eBay, the listing is live at the moment but the pictures will eventually disappear so if you want the images save them from here as soon as possible

Wow....
Just the confirmation I need of Wayne V Myers pre RedeX activities.
Thank you.
PS I'm not a e-bay 'visitor' so thanks for finding these images...

I can remember these dispensers in petrol stations when I were a lad Embarassed

Now I could be wrong but that looks like a 1946 date to me

I've also a few Australian Redex Rally pictures I'll try and find

How about the Redex Car Care Robot?

Looks suspiciously like a vacuum guage to me.....

From an eBay ad - HERE.

Penguin 45,
It is a vacuum gauge; I have a later one in my garage. I believe this one you could either install in the dash board or attach to the windscreen so you could monitor your engine's performance as you drove along.......

I have written about 1600 words on the RedeX product encompassing the years up to 1940. I still cannot find out the following-
(a) Where RedeX was made and who made it.
(b) Who made the various gauges and forecourt equipment.
(c) What company 'printed' the RedeX forecourt signs.
(d)Are there any old RedeX employees who read this Forum can offer any information.

Thank you.

Re the signs, this one on ebay appears to have small writing along the bottom edge, which could well refer to the producers of the sign:

It might be worth asking the seller if they can let you know what it says.

Hi
Re 47p2's post 10th Nov.
At the bottom of the tin under W V M's name is Perm-A-Grip

I thought they might be the can maker, but it appears not:
