Hello,

My father is wondering if the whereabouts of 3 of his old
cars is known? All 3 vehicles are showing up as still registered
at the DVLA, and 2 of them have current road tax too Smile

Austin 7 TR 31**

MG TC EDL 3**

Harbilt Electric Milkfloat MPO 2**D

Somewhere I do have pictures of the Austin and the MG.

please feel free to mp me if you prefer.

Many Thanks
Steve.

Steve

You may have some luck tracking down the Harbilt on one of these sites - the Yahoo group is the most active.

Good luck

Hi
If you go to the photos section of the first link, and then Random Floats 2 you will find a couple of pics of Harbilt floats

If you mention the full registrations of the vehicles you're researching, sooner or later a current owner might land on this thread via a search online, and be able to contact you.

Similar things have happened with a few of the vehicles that feature on the main site.

Bit late seeing your reply Rick, so here goes:

Austin 7 TR 3103

MG TC EDL 398

Harbilt Electric Milkfloat MPO 297D

my father ran a dairy and operated a fleet of Harbilt electric milk floats... he took the dairy over from my grandfather who used to deliver the milk from the sidecar on his Norton motorcycle.... how I wish I had a picture of that

Cheers Steve

TR 3103 is still around, according to the DVLA it's a 1927 Austin Seven; it does not appear on the Austin Seven Clubs Association register, so I would guess it belongs to a VSCC member, many of whom are not members of Austin Seven clubs.

Hi Mike,

Many thanks, it's got current road tax too:

The vehicle details for TR 3103 are:
Date of Liability 01 07 2014
Date of First Registration 24 01 1927
Year of Manufacture 1927
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 749cc
CO₂ Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour BLUE
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

I scoured the VSCC galleries but couldn't see it there! At least now I know I am looking for a blue one!

Cheers

Rick is right, I typed a registration of a MG TC that belonged to my uncle into google and found the car straight away. Within 10 minutes had swapped email with the present owner and forwarded the photo on to him.

See, it works - someone dropped me a line this morning after spotting a photo of the restored EDL 398 on facebook, and reading D4B's post here from a while back.

The car is now at Hartlepool College of Further Education, and has been rebuilt by students.

May I suggest that you contact Hartlepool College of Further Education, they could very well be interested in hearing from a former owner. [/img]
