I suspect those seats are later replacements - they look far too luxurious for a commercial! As for weighing 3 ton(ne)s, I very much doubt it; a large formal-bodied Rolls Royce Phantom 3 from the late 1930s might be just about 3 tons, but an early '20s light commercial of 1340cc is more likely to be around 1 ton... and even then the poor little engine would be struggling!
Edit: A quick search would suggest this is probably a mid-1920s 10CV. I can't find much info on the 10CV, but the KZ from the same period with a 2-litre engine typically weighs around 1300kg, and in commercial form has a payload of 600kg, so even a fully laden 2-litre 'only' weighs 2 tonnes! |
