Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip in a Hillman Californian in the 50's when living in Malta. A photo to treasure.

Hi
Pedants corner.
As it is pre '52 it is actually HRH Princess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip
That looks like a MkIV Minx introduced in '49 and superseded in '51 by the MkV.
Prince Phillip's Malta posting was from '49 as First Lieutenant on HMS Chequers and latterly as Lieutenant Commander in command of HMS Magpie, his active naval career ended in July '51 though he was promoted to Commander in '52. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Pedant 3 reporting for duty, sir.
Minx convertible, I believe. The Californian was a pillar-less hard-top. _________________ Mike - MVPeters at comcast.net
