Just fitted a new coil and now I'm getting intermittent arcing from the ht lead to either positive or negative terminals whichever it fancies. It's impressive jumping about 20mm 3/4"

I am going to swap out the ht leads one at a time and hope it cures it.
Anyone had this before?

An old coil I once had did it due to a fine crack in the nose of the coil, although that shouldn't be a problem with a new one.

Think I might know what the problem is I asked for a standard 12v coil but they have given me a ballast coil so it's running about double the voltage.
