I know that a good few of you on here are in striking distance of Manchester. Hoping that no one's kids or grand kids are caught up either actually or emotionally in the sad event in Manchester over night

As a father to young children it is one of the most shocking things you could read. Its a horrible state of society.

Absolutely disgusting how can any human do this to another.
As said my condolences to anyone who has lost someone and I hope you recover (physically and emotionally) to anyone affected.

I'm afraid this could be becoming "normal" as how you can possibly prevent a deranged idiot walking into such an open area with explosives is a very hard thing to prevent. Why anyone can be so crazy as to think blowing themselves up and taking the life of innocent people will get them to "paradise" is another thing I don't think anyone with an ounce of sanity can reconcile.
It will of course happen many more times in different cities, countries and potentially anywhere.
Quite how it will all end I don't know.
The world was a lot safer after the last war. Perhaps because the world was sick of the stupidity of war. It seems though that fundamentalists are a different breed of idiot though and there is no reasoning.

Religions have a lot to answer for. The cause of more wars than any other cause. You would have thought in this day and age that ideas of life after death would have been well and truly confined to the history books.
