Your mum is rather beautiful Peter.

Thanks Ashley. I think you are just attracted because she's on a bike and wearing a leather coat. Wink

She drove from age 16 until she went gaga at about aged 80. She never sat a driving test and never had an accident.

Surprised about the TR6 comment. Very easy to work on and most things very accessible! Maybe easier to get a TR6 with twin carbs (USA model) instead of the quite complicated Fuel Injection.
As for practical - what's not practical? In fact I find the TR4 more practical to use than my Sunbeam Chamois. I have used my TR4 most days the last half year provided it did not rain (no fun in that). A TR6 would be better here - the TR4 top is much more difficult to erect than the TR6 top. A TR has a boot big enough for the week shopping, I never hesitate to take it to the supermarket or DIY store when needed.

Yes, I could be tempted by a TR6 on carbs, but it still wouldn't be practical for carrying timber, pipes, rubble to the tip etc etc etc. Really I ought to have a van...

My mum was a biker too as was the wife. She had a Moto Guzzi T3 and a Honda 750 before that.

Strangely, a Reliant Scimitar. Well, that is if a kind owner would let me drive an Alfa 8C I'd jump at it, but in the real world, a Scimitar.
