I've just posted this to the Fiat Forum:

Murf is finally in the sunny uplands of MOT exemption and I've just had to apply online for his fee-exempt road-tax. This process went without any problems but for anyone who might be a little concerned about declaring that their vehicle has not been modified when maybe there's a bit of a "grey" area about that, fear not. All you have to do is tick an innocent-looking box in answer to a very ambiguous statement. They don't ask you to say that your vehicle has not been substantially modified, but what you are asked to do is to agree with the statement that as a vehicle over 40 years old your car may be exempt from the MOT if it has not been substantially modified; anyone can tick "Yes" to agree with that. Very Happy

Near Great Langdale, The Lake District, immediately prior to taking on the Wrynose and Hardknott passes....Hardknott, very well named. Shocked

This is obviously an easy section; I couldn't get out on Hardknott itself!!!

....well...we're still enjoying October, but not so much the sunshine, Sad
Those images are from mid-September on a convoluted return journey of 2,500 miles around the UK. This took us as far as The Eden Project in Cornwall and across to Suffolk at one point. The primary target was a garden party at Goodwood but it was an opportunity to look up old friends and most of the wider family.

Next year I hit the big 6-0 and I'm hoping to make it to continental Europe before they close the gates. Very Happy

perhaps this only applies to vehicles that have recently become mot exempt, I taxed my 1957 ford pop online at the end of September and there was no declaration or tick box, it was the same as last year.
