I seem to have gravitated to Italian, and specifically, Lancia. My current one is this 1953 Appia:
Before that was this 1958 Pinin Farina coupe:
and before that a couple of Deltas including this very rare cabriolet, when they were just old cars!
I've had a couple of elderly French cars, and even quite a few Swedish (Volvo and Saab), but strangely no German cars ... _________________ in the garage: 1938 Talbot Ten Airline
Recently departed: 1953 Lancia Appia, 1931 Austin Seven, 1967 Singer Chamois, 1914 Saxon, 1930 Morris Cowley, 1936 BSA Scout, 1958 Lancia Appia coupe, 1922 Star 11.9 ... the list goes on! |

I've had a 2G Honda Accord, an Opel Manta, and currently have the Mk1 Golf Cabriolet. The Mk1 Escort is British Built, as was the Rover P6b and four Standards I have owned. My 1933 Chrysler Kew was made in USA and assembled in GB. So I don't have any affiliations as such. _________________ 1974 Mk1 Escort. |

My current project is a 1986 Audi coupe quattro which, like the two Vauxhalls, was originally bought as a daily driver. I ran it for around 15 years, put 200,000 miles on it, then couldn't quite bear to trade it in when I bought the TT. Now I'm attending to the rust. |

In the Netherlands British classics are a minority, save for some main sports cars (Spitfire, TR6, MGB, E-type) and some saloons (Mini, Jaguar Mk2). But other British classics are pretty rare over here.
Most classics are from the Continent. VW, Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, Citroen, Saab, Fiat, etc etc. _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

I have a German classic car. I noticed recently in the thread about your car's history that Rick said to google your registration number and see what you find.
Although I know the full history of my car I did just that and was surprised to find my car featured in a You Tube video.
If you want to see my car have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOVF4189HEU
I can't say that I am impressed by the name of the poster of the video!
I was at the first classic car show held in the Pump Room Gardens in Royal Leamington Spa in June this year. _________________ Keep Torqueing,

That's a beauty Bri, love the mudflaps too. Is there a thread on here about it?

Surprised to see that unless I am very much mistaken there seem to be not many French cars here, such as the 2CV or 4L. The former is going stratospheric and people are demanding up to €15,000 now (whether they'll get it is a moot point) and the little 4L is starting to climb too. I drove on of those and it is a charming little beast. |
