I would like to know if there is such a thing as a classic automatic van, or something with a big body to haul lots of stuff. It needs to have really light steering or PAS. I have physical issues so cannot use anything heavy. I want it for leisure use and don't need it for groceries.

All I can think of is an FX4 taxi. I would love a simple mechanical injection Diesel to use wvo with.

I saw an Austin princess hearse and assumed it was rotten.

I have limited budget and will likely need to clear out some other wheeled contraptions before I do anything. I might put some ads up if that's ok.

Suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

You may need to spread your net to include US vans as they're more likely to come with PAS and auto as standard, although it may depend on your budget. There are aftermarket PAS kits available for many different vehicles, so that might be an option if you find something otherwise suitable, that doesn't come with PAS fitted at the factory.

Many years ago i had a Commer pb diesel van with auto box it had been a small coach if i remember right Commer and Ford? offered an auto box as optional extra but i have never seen another one and i converted mine to manual with overdrive.
