I agree, a handsome motorcar indeed.
I wonder how difficult it would be to source a pre-select gearbox that would suit?? _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.

I should think people in the Riley club would have knowledge of the pre-select gearbox.
I think this needs saving. Must be very rare indeed. _________________ Daimler Fifteen 1934 (now sold)

I like the look of them. I recall seeing one many many years back and they have a lovely sporty looking body. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

Ended with a single bid. I do actually think that was a decent price for a car that rare and the work required. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

Can't say I have ever seen one before. I like the way the vendor calls it a "great winter project". I wonder how many years it will take to restore.??
Could someone tell me what the two 180 degree sprockets are for? |

I think the sprockets connect to the lighting switch and I assume the dip function. All controlled from knobs on the steering wheel manette.
The same system was used in the SS1.

So, is the round conical thing with all the wires going into it an electric motor? |

I think it's just a switch covered by a "round conical thing". Why would it be a motor?
