Do MGB hardtops typically fit well, the factory tops I'm referring to? Getting one for our B has crossed my mind, but unlike the Spitfires I used to run, MGBs were only supplied with fibreglass tops as opposed to the well-made tin roofs available for Spitfires. Do they keep their shape or - being GRP - can poor storage cause them to twist and therefore not fit well?
thanks, RJ _________________ Rick - Admin

I don't know the answer to your question but I do know that my neighbour was glad to get shot of the grp hardtop on his MGB.
He hated the dripping condensation that it caused. |

Why would you use a hardtop? OK if you plan to use the car during cold months which most convertible owners do not.
So, in the past when such a car was the only car owned, it may have its uses but these days? _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

I quite like the MGB GT, especially the earlier ones. They are cheap enough and, if anything, under rated. More space inside than the Triumph GT6 with which they are often compared and they can be used all the year round. |
