WEll, I thought he was brilliant!

I simply didn't have the self confidence at that age to do something like that. He seems to be single minded and of course had an older mentor to open his eyes to the possibilities of embracing a by gone age.

My parents were not interested in old stuff. Like many other people at the time they were more for making the best of the present (new house, new car, new everything) and keeping up with the Joneses. Not that they would admit as much.

I remember my Dad wouldn't allow me to put an old Ford Pop on the drive ...not next to his new Victor!
