|

Hi folks, I've recently purchased an old Dodgem car in fairly sad condition which I am intending to rebuild. It looks to be mid to late 50's by the styling and I think it's of German origin. The only I.D. of any kind is on a Vee shaped badge on the back which reads, Super TT 60 and below that is GJB. It has Hella branded headlamps and nothing else identifiable that I have found so far. I can post some pics if it's a help, but I thought someone in your part of the world may have some idea of where to go for parts and info, or even links to specialist sites if they exist, thanks, Col. |

Sheffield University have the national fairground archive, it may be worth checking to see if they have any info, old photoos, etc. |

Yes, it's very similar, but were there any Italian dodgem manufacturers and would they be likely to use German lights? It's a bit of a mystery at the moment , but maybe someone will recognise it, cheers, Col. |

i have only just joined the forum so ifyou are still looking for
info then simply log onto this german site which chronicles
the history of these dodgem manufacturers in Bruchsal
you will be able to find your dodgem within the chronological
order in the early sixties.
the other poster is correct because thecompany had tie ups
with major real car manufacturers such as alfa and mercedes
they also used to make childrens dodgems too eg kids two seater
http://www.gebr-ihle-autoskooter.de/geschichte-der-firma-ihle/geschichte-der-gebrueder-ihle.html
hope that helps you
the B in the initial is for the company location in Bruchsal
regards
