I have collected all sorts of car badges over the years..they sit in box's and when i get a proper garage they will go on display...here's a few..

A very local badge for me...

Does anyone know more about this organisation..I cant find anything.

I have a few different AA badges from Africa...i will dig the others out later.

I can't believe how much these fetch..i paid £3 at a boot sale about 5 years ago.

Another local club...

I think this one is military????

I have a few of these...later ones are in plastic..

I have about 40 AA badges including early flat ones and smaller M-C badges...also have a variety of RAC badges..again early and late badges.

You can find details of The Order of The Road right here on the main website:

http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/safedriver.htm

I have the same badge - mine has a 40 year driver tag, and I got it when I had been driving for 39 years so it was carried on my car for the following year.

I like old car badges and have a few on the Rover, mostly Rover related

This one is not South Africa as one would expect but Southern Australia

I have a NOS period RAC badge which I had on the car for a short while then I bought this which after a clean came up like new so the RAC badge had to be removed
This is the Royal Scottish Automobile Club badge

I had Volvo travel club on my Amazon 15 years ago, but I took it off, as I didnt want the car to look "overdressed" Very Happy I must ad that I collect original Volvo Amazon accesories, and the car has more than 50 on, thats why I decided to remove it.

on a swap meet I found a old round brass badge with Indianapolis 500 Speedway on it, in the center is a old singleseater racecar, some of the paint is missing, but its a nice one, and I have not seen others.

I wondered if anyone can help identify these badges on my dad's Austin 7 Ruby?
This one I bought it for £2 at a boot sale last year.

[img][/img]

It reads: 'N.P.B MC'. 'MC' must be 'motor club'.

This badge is one of 10 I picked up at another boot sale about 5 years ago. I sold all the others on ebay, but kept this one. Believed to date from the 1930's? Reads 'Roadfarers' Club'

And this is the car Very Happy

I wonder if the National Provincial Bank had a motoring club.

That's Freddie, he's got his eye on the bird table visible on the right Rolling Eyes

Penman, you might have hit on it there, don't know if National Provincial had a car club, but Westminster Bank did Confused

Thanks

Hi Keith,

Thanks, it's not too bad but it has had a 2 pack respray in the past which has cracked in places and is letting it down a bit. Looks better in the pictures Smile

It also needs a couple of new tyres and there are some engine issues to sort out, namely 2 leaking core plugs and a crack in the block approx. 1" long next to the bottom hose inlet. It is the original engine from 1937 though!

I have driven it and the clutch and gearbox takes some mastering! It is very fun to drive though, quirky is the word I think Smile

Do I remember correctly that you have a Box Saloon?
