I saw one advertised on a shop noticeboard today, 1963 model I think.

Dare I ask how much ?
I still have a 1960 2 speed Quickly, It along with my other bikes is insured for business use.
Occasionally I visit customers on them, to discuss jobs. |

A late reply, but that's a bit steep for me. |

The man to contact for NSU Quickly bikes and spares is Roger Worton. See: www.nsuquicklyspares.co.uk
He has some for sale from £360 to £750 at present. _________________ Keep Torqueing,

Thanks,
I know about Roger Worton, used to buy some cyclemotor parts from him back in the late 70's and he has supplied parts for the Quickly I have owned for over 30 years. |

Managed to get another Quickly this week to restore, it came complete with some spares including three engines.
Bought it thinking it was a 1961 machine, data plate was missing but under the thick paint I found a nice clear frame number.
Looks to be a 1958 machine from the frame number.
The records for the number exist, so I now have a certified copy of it's original registration details on the way. |

With the help of the NSU owners club I now have a V5C for the £53.00 Quickly.
Even though it was first registered in 1961 it was manufactured in 1958 so is MOT and tax excempt.

Very nice, new tyres, fresh fuel and off you go. Thought about the cyclemotors section of the VMCC? _________________ KA

Not a fan of the VMCC, especially with what I hear and read about them lately.
I did think about joining them in the late 70's but the members I came in contact with were not interested in the bikes that I could afford at the time. (Cyclemotors and 50's two strokes).
Chris,
The new cyclemotors dont appeal to me as I still have a selection of the 50's ones.
Was out on this one Saturday, we first put it back on the road in 1978.

Seems a bit cheap to me - I wonder what's wrong with them? Of course technically you'd have to be registered, taxed and insured so maybe most punters think they might as well buy a proper used motorcycle and avoid all the hassle... |

The cycle motors I have seen are all oldies, and the newest 25years plus. As a note on the gossip around the VMCC, ignore half of it, and the rest is an exaggeration of the facts! _________________ KA
