hi all
thought you might be interested in this "little" baby.
it was built in the early '50s, i think, by a retired couple who commissioned it for touring australia.
it was used extensively through south aus, victoria, new south wales, queensland and western australia.
the van was rediscovered 5 years ago on a farm in outback south aus and the fargo (the original tow vehicle) was found not long after. a group of 5 families worked the 5 years to restore it to it's current condition.
i will post a few photos in the next few days of the before, during and after periods of the restoration.
it gets about 2 miles to the gallon, not real economical and apparently, it's a bit of a handful to control.
pretty cool, hey.
