Hi All,
Have owned a Morris oxford Series II for about 10 years. It all started when I sold the Golf GTI because the insurance was too steep and the two doors we not great for getting our newest family member in and out.
Buying the Morris started off as a joke but after thinking about it more it seemed like a good proposition.
We started out going to rallies but couldn't join in with the evenings entertainments. We tried camping a couple of times but the British weather and kids put paid to that. At one rally we spotted a Car Cruiser Carissima for sale which we bought and served us well for several years.
We then had the opportunity of acquiring the bigger Carousel (with a fridge!) but needed to upgrade the car to tow it. The car now has an MGB engine and copes reasonably well with the extra weight.
This is us on display at Much Marcle rally last weekend. |

Hi mate, recognised the reg number as soon as I saw the photo! I was in Marcle on the Saturday with my Anglia 123E Super - had intended returning on Sunday but had a sickness bug. Good show though - was looking forward to seeing different cars on the Sunday

Welcome to the forum, I ran a Morris Oxford as a daily car for 16 years. It was great and I only sold it when I got married and my wife didn't seem keen to learn how to use the column change. Keep the joints on the gear change linkages well lubricated or you will regret not doing so. _________________ To Hell with ambition, it drives a man mad, I can scarcely wake up to be fed. |
