Can anyone tell were I can find the original paint colours for the ford popular range - mines a 1955 103e - But!! the log book says blue and some has decided to paint in three different shades!!!!! |

The blue used on 103e Populars at that time is a light-ish blue, I don't know the proper name for it but in my opinion it is the best colour Ford offered for the Pop.

That Pop is Beautiful Old-Nail, the colour is nice, quite close to R.A.F Blue
Very good Painting as well |

Try Anglia Obsolete, They have most codes.

I had to take mine to a local paint shop. They told me to let them have a pattern (side air vent) which they matched. They made up a couple of aerosols for me and it's pretty much bang on, apart from being shiney. |

Pompadour Blue is listed as a 1959-1961 colour, the paint colour code is AR. |

Oooh the plot thickens...
I have an original sales brochure for the Pop which shows the car in the blue, I'll dig it out (from somewhere! ) and take a look at the options listed.
That way we'll know once and for all. what's the blue listed for '55 -56 called then? |

thanks any help is always welcome... does anyone know any other colours that were offered _apart from black - lol. Am tempted just to go with black? |
