Sadly, due to ill-health, my father is having to sell his 1953 Sunbeam Tallbot 90 Mk2a.
There has been some discussion on this car at http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/forum/phpbb/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=33471#33471
We've spent the summer working on the car. It's just had three new front wheel cylinders and a reconditioned steering box fitted and it starts and runs well as can be seen on our YouTube video: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ukf-2oQAAWg
This model has the floor gear change.
The car needs some TLC, in particular head lining and trimming as the leather is cracked and torn, although salvagable. There is also the usual rust at the bottom of the doors which will need looking at.
My father is looking at offers in the region of £1950. He would consider a part exchange with a pre-1973 Triumph / Rover / Singer / BMC Automatic with a good MoT.
The car is based in Yateley in North Hampshire. You can call Peter on 01252 875 221 or e-mail peter@boxwell.org.uk for more information.
