Have got the tow bar fitted on the Amazon and had to adapt the stabiliser bar to fit to fit it, but now another thing has cropped up - when we used to tow the Fawn it was narrow so you could get away with out the extended mirrors with the Sceptre but now with the Nyala and Amazon we need a wider view angle. At the moment we have still got to get a proper set of mirrors for the car he likes door mounted i like wing mounted so will have to see who wins Wink

What do you prefer and what type of mirrors do you use?

On an Amazon I would prefer wing mounted. Door mounts just don't look right

I have a pair of these period clip on mirrors for my Amazon.

These are on Ebay - item no 320352975996 at £14.99.

I have small round door mirrors that are not suitable for either extensions or the stick on or the plastic clip on type.

They may not be pretty, but they give a great field of vision and only take a minute or so to fit, after opening the bonnet. So far I have not scratched the paint when putting them on.

Thanks for that Brian as we knew there would be some to fit just which ones , we've still to decide wether to go wing or door mounted for our normal mirrors .

I have a pair of clip on mirrors that I used on my Princess when I used to tow that you can have for the price of postage. They fitted the rectangular door mirrors. I doubt if they would work on round mirrors. They would clip on but I would think they would droop and end up rubbing the wing. I'll did the out and post a pic.

Thanks for the offer Art but we followed Brians link on ebay and purchased said mirrors . If they work on Brians Amazon they should work on ours .

Hi there is actually REAL original AMAZON accessories mirrors, and/or also arm extensioners for the standard Volvo mirror, the trailer mirror is VERY rare Shocked

got 1 (not a set) just one side (same for both sides) it has a longer arm, that can be extended further by losening a nut, its ALL crome. the other solution, is a pair of loose/extra arms so you undo the mirror head, and screw these on, you then fix your mirrorhead to the end of these longer arms Cool

only problem is if you have a slack spring in the org foot Confused

or the small V shaped teeth are corroded Sad

your mirror will then have to get some viagra to keep up the apperence Wink
