Hi
If you are around the area next Sunday there is the AGM of the Bristol Owners Club at the Stratford Hotel, Arden St. just after lunch.

There should be quite a Bevvy of Beautiful Bristols to see.
Maybe some ACs as well.

Hi
The following vehicles attended.

This has only recently come back out of the factory after a rebuild/refurb

The Blenheim 3 on the right brought by the Bristol Company Chairman, Toby Silverton, so that members could compare the new (possibly one off) specially ordered Blenhiem 4 on the left.
The 3's badge is mising from the bootlid as it had to be borrowed to fit on to the 4.

They are both fitted with the LPG option

Front view of the 4 shows a horizontal badge on the grill "wing" instead of the traditional round badge on the bonnet top which the 3 has.

according to Toby virtually every exterior panel is different on the 4 compared with the 3.
The Teardrop Special

If you can't arrive in your Bristol, bring another classic.

My daily driver V40 is hiding in one of the photos.

Bristol may be a marque, but they have yet to build an attractive vehicle.

In my opinion, ofcourse. Cool

The early cars (GSF 424 especially) I think are great lookers, but from the 70s onwards I don't rate their styling - the Blenheim 3 reminds me of a Cavalier or Senator from the back (V reg. so similar age I suppose), and the 4 looks like an Audi. Such a shame when the earlier cars (aviation inspired I guess?) look so advanced for their day.

I'd happily own anything upto and including the 410 Smile

I agree with Rick. The early Bristols were glorious looking cars.

I always understood that the early Bristols were BMW's taken from Germany in the late forties as part of war reparations.

Could somebody confirm or deny this please.

I think the early 6 pot engines were inspired by BMW designs, but the rest of the car was a Brit creation as far as I know...
