A motley collection of vehicles braved the wind and rain in aid of the RNLI today. Starting at the harbour the parade including a pipe band and a jazz duo (carried on a certain Chevy truck) travelled along the High Street viewed by a surprising number of onlookers before parking up on the putting green.
An ex-royal Daimler limo complete with blue lamp and a Crayford convertable Mini were two of the more unusual vehicles.

Is this event on every year Peter, or was it a one off. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Some nice pictures there, thanks for posting. Nice to see more forum members meeting up! What is the identity of the little blue two-seater convertible next to the Chevy in photos 2 and 3?
Thanks _________________ Richard Hughes |

Thanks Rich,
It's a BSA. Not in tip top condition. It has some nasty modern additions like an electric water circulation pump and a giant electric fan but it still overheats. It was towed in the procession because the walking pace speed gave insufficient air flow.
It's front wheel drive with the gearbox in front of the engine and a very odd gear change linkage that appears between the driver's legs.

Thanks for the pics. A good day all round, even if the weather was a bit damp.
Here's a few of my pics that hopefully don't repeat any of Peters.
