My wife and I have just returned to our home in Southern Victoria, from a tour that took us North of Brisbane in Queensland and back, an overall trip of 4,933 k's.
We used our 1982 Rover SE (Aussie spec, fuel injected SD1) and had a very enjoyable, if a bit tiring, trip. The main reason for our excusion was to visit the 'Abbey Medieval Festival' As well as enjoying the festival, we managed some touring, and were constantly looking out for anything associated with historic motor vehicles.
Here is a photo of the SE at the Victorian/New South Wales border. Look carefully at the photo and you will perceive a curious phenomenon. Although one sign is a few yards further on than the other, while traversing the space between them one appears to move backwards by two kilometers.
We encountered no interesting historic vehicles en route, or at least nothing that we could manage to photograph, however in Caboolture, about 50 k's beyond Brisbane there is a folk museum set up as a village. Unfortunately some of the exhibits look a bit neglected, but then the museum is wholly staffed by volunteers. At least the cars are somewhat preserved.
We visited on the eve of a motor and machinery display, so I managed to photograph some of the early arriving exhibits and will post photos of them later on.
Second part of the story here-

Great holiday Roverdriver!
Good idea spending this time of the year in Queensland instead of Southern Victoria!
Just joking! I lived 10 very happy years in Melbourne.
I love that old Blitz in your photos.
