|
|
Hi
This is my new 1971 series 3 109 Truck Cab Diesel, Landrover, aptly named Edwin!
It needs the brakes adjusting, and seems to be getting a bit hot, today it was running just under the red, on the guage, anyone know where they usually run at? Bareing in mind it was quite hot today too. (28 - 32)
I think I could do with a landrover guy, to take it out with me, to have a listen to see if it is making the right noises, it has plenty of noises, but I am not sure if they are all good, all bad, or somewhere in the middle! heeh
Anyone local to South Cheshire, know what they should sound like, get in touch!
Cheers
Dave

Not sure on that one, will have to try and find the owner who restored it in 2006, the one before last, as there are warning lights, and switches that I have no idea about. One came flashing today, i filled up with diesel (a regular occurence now I think ) and I didn't see it do it again, so maybe that is a low fuel light.
Had the brakes off today, and tried to set them up as best I can, all ok, bar the front left, which is ceased on, they all look new cylinders/lines, but I will try new cylinders. I don't think the line is blocked as it was bleeding ok last night.
Still hovering in the black, just below hot, so will have to see it on a normal day! Not a hot day! hehe
Cheers

Very nice Buzzy Keep it as it is. Co-incidently I saw an identical one (except for the sign-writing of course ) on a newsagents notice-board yesterday. Unfortunately I couldn't think of any way of getting all the family plus the dog into a truck cab so it's still there

Hey Geoff,
You could put a hard top on it, and then you would have lots of room! hehe, mine is an excuse not to give folk lifts! ehhe Most don't want to come due to the noise it makes!
Cheers
