I saw this Healey at Knebworth over the August bank holiday.
The woodwork was excellent.Nice to see there are tradesmen (tradesperson) still out there plying their trade.
This must be quite rare. |

What a cracking motor, lovely craftsmanship, though I doubt those rear wings would last to long if you parked it in the street with no bumpers for protection. |

I was never overly fond of the Healey's frontal styling, and this car doesn't change my mind. The front seems so much wider than the rear.Odd to see even the windscreen surround being wood, most woody's I've seen have steel. Also,I would have made the rear a bit bigger!Surely the whole point of an estate is space.
I'll get me coat.............. |

There's a bit more about it here (scroll down): http://www.classiccaroftheyear.co.uk/classic_car_voting.php?cat=1 including a 'before' photo. It looks longer (and better proportioned) in the side view than the photos above but I would agree that it doesn't have the most attractive of front ends. The lack of bumpers on a car of that era just looks wrong. |

I actually like it!
Would be very unusual over here, more like an art piece. |

I have to say,the 3/4 rear view gives the nicest perspective to this car.It also looks bigger from that point.
What amazes me is the original"as found"state of it.Brave man, full marks for persistence. |
