Hallo folks,

I'm 17year old and live in Belgium. I've bought an old Landrover series III 88" build in 1975 about two years ago. It's a pickup, I've bought it via Ebay and collect it with my father in England. And now I also bought an old Austin A40 devon. It's an original Belgium car so LHD, this will be my first compleet restoration project.
I'm still going to school and I'm working in weekend and schoolholidays in shop called angloparts, it's a shop with parts for Triumph, MG, morris minor,.... (www.angloparts.com)
I will try to post some pictures in a few days.
We will go to England tomorrow to collect some parts that I've bought for the devon, tyres etc...

Kind regard, Jonathan

Welcome to the classic car world, looks like your building a nice varied collection there, we look forward to seeing some photo's. Keep an eye on the parts in the shop many cars shared common parts so even if there not marked for your vehicles they might be the same, Lucas parts are a good example

Very nice - same colour as ours (a 1972 S3 SWB petrol) but with hardtop

The Austin A40 Devon looks good too - what year? 1950/51?

Jep, my pickup looks a little bit like the Landrover in the cartoon Shaun the sheep, the only differents is that my one is a Series III and in the cartoon series II.
I'm don't know what year the Austin is, first registrated in 1954, but there were not build the devon any more in that year, and its an gs2 with the gearchange tru the floor. And it has got the late type fixing on the oil filter, but I don't know it what year they change it...

And yes indeed the Austin is quit good. the flore is solid and chassis looks very much ok, there are some small holes in the sills under the car and also under the back of the car, but nothing that can't be welded.
And the car is a non runnen right now, but the engine is free, you can easly turn by hand. It will be an complete restoration.
Body off, chassis will be striped and build up again..
But it will take a some time Laughing

Regards, Jonathan

Jep, absolutly right, the rear lights and contact set in the distributer are the same as an MG TF-TC, king pins are the same as the ones from the Austin-Healey, its an B-series engine so some parts can be used from an MG-A or MG-B engine, same engine mountings as the MG midget,.... Laughing
