Vintage or post-war car panels

What make of motorcar do these wings and grille fit??

Neil emailed me the photos shown below, of various front end body panels which must have been removed from a classic or vintage motorcar some time ago, and we both wonder what car they are suitable for?? He rescued them from a local tip, and would like them to go to a good home with someone who can actually use them, or keep them as spares for, the same motorcar.
Their condition doesn't look too bad given less than ideal storage, and must be of use to someone. The flowing front wings would have met running boards below the doors of whatever car they were removed from. Interestingly both wings contain recesses for spare wing-mounted wheels. This, and the distinctive style of grille (was it chromed originally?) must help in identifying these parts. The rake of the grille suggests (to me anyway) that they may have come off a sleek & sporting machine, perhaps a tourer of some type that had twin sidemounts? One suggestion is that they could be of a sporting machine such as an Invicta.
