Oldsmobile sedan from the 1940s

Thanks to various contributors on the classic car forum, I now know that the car shown in the photograph below is was built by Oldsmobile. It dates to 1947, and is a 4dr 'Sedanette' model.
The Oldsmobile company was set up back in 1897 by Ransom E. Olds and produced cars throughout the 20th Century, with the marque finally disappearing in 2004 (by which time it had spent much of its life under the wing of General Motors).
Despite the marque no longer featuring in new-car dealerships, plenty of enthusiasts are flying the flag for Oldsmobile cars - website such as www.classicoldsmobile.com and www.oldsclub.org see to that.
