Pageant of Power 2010.
2010 hosted the third Pageant of Power to take place at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire. Building on the previous two events, the Pageant continues to improve in both the attractions to be seen out on the course, and also in its organisation. Access around the course has been improved once again, with intervals for the opening of track crossing points being flexible enough to reduce the queues seen at previous Pageants. The main A49 that runs close to the Castle's grounds was also closed off for part of the day, a plan agreed with the local constabulary to ease access and egress for the public. Shown below is a selection of 100 photographs taken at the event. As this is primarily a motoring site, it is the cars and motorcycles that I focused on. A highlight for me was the Tom Wheatcroft Tribute, which featured a gathering of Tom's favourite cars from his Grand Prix museum. Other attractions included the powerboat action on the lake, helicopter flights throughout the day, and the Breitling wing walkers.
