Pageant of Power (Day 1 - Saturday)
Saturday dawned a little damper than hoped for, but undeterred I arrived at the Castle bang on 8am to catch up with the new arrivals, and find my bearings prior to track action commencing at 08.30am. Despite being on site til around 5pm the previous day (setup day), a great many extra vehicles had turned up in the meanwhile, most of which I hope I've captured in the photographs on this page. Unfortunately I was unable to attend on Day 2 of the event, and I'm told the weather Gods were looking down a little kinder on the cars taking to the course that day.

Mooching around as I tend to do, chatting to competitors, club exhibitors and one or two of the traders, I got the overwhelming impression that everyone there that day was really hoping that the event takes off, and establishes itself as an annual speed event, as have other events elsewhere in the country. Judging by the level of support from organisations such as the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, and Bentley Motors, the signs are that this event will run and run. Highlights for me were seeing both the Donington Collection's Alfa Romeo Bimotore, and the JDHT Jaguar XJ13 in action.
