Commer Superpoise picture.

Photographed here is a militarised version of the 1950s Commer lorry. Power came from a large car-derived petrol engine and they were quite a thirsty old thing.

Picture of Superpoise at the Astle steam fair.

Do you have any info on this particular exhibit? I'd be happy to add to (or correct!) the information I have on this Superpoise.

Photograph of the Commer Superpoise on display at Astle Park in Cheshire.

All the photos in this section were taken at Astle Park in 2005, on what was a very very rainy day! The Commer shown above got a real drenching - top marks to the owners of all the old vehicles on show, I'm sure they'd rather their prized vehicles were tucked away out of the inclement weather. Despite the efforts of mother nature, the Superpoise looked really well and is a credit to its owner.

In all I've put 75 photographs from this classic show on oldclassiccar, you can see the other pics of old cars, lorries, steam traction engines & road rollers, motorcycles, and even bicycles on the main Astle Park gallery page.
