Power Pak Cycle engine picture. The Power Pak was one of a number of small engines that could be fitted into conventional bicycle frames to offer the rider a rest from pedalling. Some were more successful than others. Several attempts are seen in preservation - notably the Cyclemaster and the Winged Wheel.
Picture of Cycle engine at the Astle steam fair.Do you have any info on this particular exhibit? I'd be happy to add to (or correct!) the information I have on this Cycle engine.
All the photos in this section were taken at Astle Park in 2005, on what was a very very rainy day! The Power Pak shown above got a real drenching - top marks to the owners of all the old vehicles on show, I'm sure they'd rather their prized vehicles were tucked away out of the inclement weather. Despite the efforts of mother nature, the Cycle engine looked really well and is a credit to its owner. |
