Raleigh Runabout picture.
From 1966 is this handy little Raleigh Runabout. I remember dad had a pair of these when I was a nipper and I'd cadge a ride sat on the fuel tank. Power came from a French 2 stroke (49cc) Motobecane engine.

Picture of Runabout at the Astle steam fair.
Do you have any info on this particular exhibit? I'd be happy to add to (or correct!) the information I have on this Runabout.
All the photos in this section were taken at Astle Park in 2005, on what was a very very rainy day! The Raleigh shown above got a real drenching - top marks to the owners of all the old vehicles on show, I'm sure they'd rather their prized vehicles were tucked away out of the inclement weather. Despite the efforts of mother nature, the Runabout looked really well and is a credit to its owner.
