Stanley Steamcar picture.Stanley believed in steam power for motor cars in the early years of the twentieth century. The blue and black example creating a lot of interest here was built in 1917.
Picture of Steamcar at the Astle steam fair.Do you have any info on this particular exhibit? I'd be happy to add to (or correct!) the information I have on this Steamcar.
All the photos in this section were taken at Astle Park in 2005, on what was a very very rainy day! The Stanley shown above got a real drenching - top marks to the owners of all the old vehicles on show, I'm sure they'd rather their prized vehicles were tucked away out of the inclement weather. Despite the efforts of mother nature, the Steamcar looked really well and is a credit to its owner. |
