Background information on the Singer Gazelle photograph:

By this time the Singer name was just another badge in the Rootes armoury. Here it is shown applied to the high-spec Gazelle which owes its origins to the basic Hillman Minx of the same time. Few of these rare cars survive especially in such fantastic condition.

The event began with the old cars congregating at the village green in Hankelow, and driving down in a leisurely convoy to the exhibition fields in nearby Audlem.
